Hi, I'm Vijay Chaudhary, founder of CopyMyBio.in.
I'm from Jharkhand, India, and I'm currently a B.Tech 2nd-year student. Alongside my studies, I've been blogging for the past 2 years — that's where CopyMyBio.in came from.
Why I Started This
Like most people, I used to spend way too much time trying to write a "perfect" Instagram bio — deleting it, rewriting it, changing emojis, still not happy with it. I noticed most of my friends and followers had the exact same problem: they knew what vibe they wanted (attitude, aesthetic, funny, professional) but couldn't find the right words fast.
So I started collecting, testing, and organizing bios by style and mood — first just for myself and a few friends, then as a proper blog. Two years of blogging taught me what actually works and what doesn't when it comes to short-form content like bios and captions.
How I Curate and Test Every Bio
I don't just copy bios from random Instagram accounts and paste them here. Before any bio makes it onto CopyMyBio.in, I go through a simple process:
- I test bios on my own Instagram profile to see how they actually look on a real device, in a real profile layout — not just as text on a page.
- I check character count and formatting so every bio actually fits Instagram's 150-character bio limit without getting cut off.
- I group bios by mood and use-case (attitude, aesthetic, love, professional, etc.) based on what I've seen people actually search for and ask me about.
- I rewrite bios that feel repetitive or awkward — if a line doesn't sound natural when I read it out loud, it doesn't get published.
- I update older posts when I find better, fresher lines, instead of just letting them sit outdated.
It's not a big team or fancy software — it's just me, testing this stuff in between college classes and assignments, trying to make sure every bio on this site is something I'd actually use myself.
